The fun and exciting Bob Schreiber Memorial Golf Tournament returns to Old Hickory Golf Club on Monday, June 6, 2022. This tournament is the primary fundraiser for the O.A.S.I.S. Food Pantry, which has been dedicated to serving the nutritional and hygiene needs of families in St. Charles for 32 years.
Bob Schreiber was our Tournament Chairman who worked tirelessly until his passing in 2019 to make this tournament a success. We at O.A.S.I.S. certainly miss the devoted leadership of Bob and Donna and renamed the tournament in Bob’s honor in 2021. Through the years, this tournament has helped O.A.S.I.S. fund several needed capital projects such as our warehouse and classroom building and two badly needed trucks.
For 2022, our tournament goal is to raise $16,000 to purchase two new interior freezer units in the pantry. This year’s event includes a round of golf with cart at Old Hickory, a courtesy practice range, a light breakfast and box lunch, and free beverages throughout the course. We’ve added two exciting game competitions sponsored by DIXON GOLF, including hole-in-one prizes on each par 3 and a new par 5 competition. Cash prizes are awarded for Championship, A, and B flights.
Following the round of golf, there will be a social hour with appetizers and silent auction, followed by the awards presentation. The good news is we’ve kept the registration fee at $175, and there is no added cost to compete in any of the new game competitions.
Through the years, your tournament participation has enabled us to make a difference in the lives of many St. Charles County families.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you on Monday, June 6, at the beautiful Old Hickory Golf Club.

St. Charles Borromeo Church held a birthday bag drive creating about 100 birthday bags for distribution at the food pantry. This fun event had each child who donated a birthday bag pick out and include a special toy the bag.
Children’s Summer Food Program
During the months of June, July and August the O.A.S.I.S. Food Pantry provides extra food to families with school-aged children who miss their school meals due to the summer break. This year we estimate serving about 600 children at a cost of about $15,000. Monetary donations are welcome as no grants have been received to help with this year’s program expenses. If you would like to donate food items to the program we need: mac and cheese, granola bars, 4-pack fruit cups, and canned meats like beef ravioli.
2022 Stamp Out Hunger – Postal Workers Food Drive
The Postal Workers Stamp Out Hunger Food drive planned for Saturday, May 14, 2022. This is good news for the O.A.S.I.S. Food Pantry as this large food drive was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. This is a wonderful opportunity for the food pantry to refill the shelves with canned goods to last through the summer. Please watch for Stamp Out Hunger information from your local mail carrier.

In May of 2021 O.A.S.I.S. celebrated 31 years of service to individuals in St. Charles County. During the year our all-volunteer team provided over 7,500 hours of their time to keep the doors of the pantry open. O.A.S.I.S. served 2,600 St. Charles County families helping nearly 8,000 individuals. 2021 was a year blessed with tremendous generosity, including food, funds, and volunteer hours. With these blessings and God’s help O.A.S.I.S. continues to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate in St. Charles County.
Chapel of the Cross, Christ’s Church, Hope Lutheran, Immanuel Lutheran, Living Lord Lutheran, and Our Savior Lutheran churches will be participating in the 2022 OASIS Youth Food Challenge. The process this year will be the same as last year’s challenge. Each church decides when in February or March they wish to hold the food drive. This year the pantry is specifically requesting donations of breakfast cereal, toilet paper, canned pasta sauce, canned fruit, pancake mix, syrup, and hamburger helper. Please watch your church newsletter to find out how to donate to the food drive.
In early April Girl Scouts across eastern Missouri will host the annual “Showering the Community” event. Girl Scouts set up mini collection sites, like a table or booth at participating Schnucks, Walmart or other stores in our area to encourage donations and collect personal care items for individuals and families in need. The O.A.S.I.S. Food Pantry is a recipient of the April Showers personal care items, so please give generously when you see the Girl Scout table or booth at your favorite store on April 2nd.
