Relocation

The location we currently occupy is adjacent to the intersection of I-70 and Highway 94 (First Capital Drive). It is an older building that is in need of significant repair. OASIS moved here in 1998 and occupied only a portion of the property. We have grown as our space requirements have increased and as other tenants have left until we now are the only tenant remaining. The location is attractive for a business that can benefit from the close proximity to the Interstate. The current owner of the property advised us in 2006 that once the Missouri Highway Department completed rebuilding of the I-70/Hwy 94 intersection the property would be sold for redevelopment. The intersection rebuilding is now nearing completion and the property is for sale.

We have a lease that expires in mid 2008. After that time it will be extended on a monthly basis depending on property sale and our ability to find an acceptable and affordable location for our move.

During 2006 after learning of our pending relocation we began an OASIS Relocation and Building Fund to accumulate money to pay the higher cost we will encounter at another location and to ultimately purchase property. We have looked at the alternatives of leasing versus purchasing property. After through evaluation of lease costs and purchase prices we have determined that our long term strategy should be to own our facility. We may need to lease a facility until we have accumulated enough money to purchase.

We have accelerated fund raising efforts to include an annual golf tournament, more grant requests and an effort to significantly increase food donations. These efforts have resulted in the fund having a balance of $67,131 at year end 2007. With our continuing efforts we expect the fund to grow more rapidly during this year and in coming years.

We evaluated numerous available properties during 2007 and this effort is continuing. Most buildings adequate for our operation are priced from $600,000 to over $1,000,000. Purchase of land and construction of a building will cost approximately the same depending on location and building design. We will apply for any available funding help from government agencies, businesses, and, individuals. Donations should be sent to :
